WLI Donates to All Woman Women's Centre of Jamaica Foundation Drive

Members of the WLI on October 13, 2021, made a presentation to All Woman Editor, Petulia Clarke-Lawrence (2nd right) of gifts towards the recently-launched All Woman drive for items to benefit the Women's Centre of Jamaica Foundation, Spanish Town Centre.

Making the presentation on behalf of the WLI are Renee Menzies McCallum (2nd left), chair; and former chairs Chorvelle Johnson Cunningham (left), chair Membership Committee and Marcia Erskine (right), chair, PR Fundraising & Events Committee.

The gifts included discounted toys from Eustace Lee, baby clothes from Ammars, and $15,000 in vouchers from MegaMart.

WLI Support Jamaica Legion Poppy Appeal

 
On November 3, 2021, the WLI members of the WLI presented a cheque for $100,000 to the Jamaica Legion Poppy Appeal which benefits Curphey Place, a home for indigent military veterans.  Here sharing in the presentation are (l-r) Chorvelle Johnson Cunningham; Roxann Linton; Antonette Wemyss Gorman; Lt. Col. Warrenton Dixon, Chair, Nation Poppy Appeal; Renee Menzies McCallum, Chair WLI; Sharon Lake and Eva Lewis.  Members were also 'pinned' with poppies by Lt. Col. Dixon.
